Penrhyn Bay Library
We have been on our Llandudno Road site for 50 years, and first opened our doors to the public in 1971. We had a major refurbishment in 2015, when we got a new kitchen and public toilets. Our communal gardens regularly win prizes in the annual Wales in Bloom contest.
We are a community library run by Conwy County Borough Council and by members of a local steering group.
At Penrhyn Bay Library you can:
- Enjoy free access to public computers
- Log in to free Wi-Fi
- Print or scan documents
- Bring your family to the children’s library
We also have regular events, including:
- Reading groups in both Welsh and English
- Poetry group
- Crochet group
- U3A (University of the Third Age) groups for French, Greek and Latin
- Monthly hearing aid clinic
We recently added a small gallery space where local artists can display their work.
The library is all ground floor, and we’re fully accessible to the disabled. We also have public toilets, as well as an induction loop for the hard of hearing. There is a bus stop nearby, and we also have parking at the front of the library and on-street.
